NBA Players Urged to Make Positive Social Change

In a memo obtained by the AP,  basketball athletes received a memo from the NBA and National Basketball Players Association that stated that the league and the union are:

working together, have begun developing substantive ways for us to come together and take meaningful action.

Although there was no direct mention of other protests currently happening in other sports, this call for ideas to create “positive change”  comes on the heels of  a string of protests from other players attempting to speak up for social and racial injustice issues plaguing our country today.
